More Jewelry Trends for Fall 2013 - Statement Pieces

Posted: Feb 26 2013

As Milan Fashion week comes to an end, here are some more key trends pouring out of the runways. Compared to New York and London, jewelry was slightly more prominent and very rock 'n roll! The fashion influences ranged from the 40s to the 90s and some designers went very pastel for Fall while most featured the usual palettes in the blacks, greys and burgundy.

Gold was a key color choice in the previous fashion weeks but Milan seemed to focus more on silver and gunmetal. Basically, as it is every season, the best way to approach styling your seasonal wardrobe is by being true to yourself and going with what FEELS RIGHT (and LOOKS GOOD, of course!!).

Iceberg -  This knitwear house known for their  wild prints and luxury sportswear showcased this tribal chic choker comprised of links, snake chain and glass. Love the mix with the print!

Ooh!! The cuff is divine!

Blugirl - Usually they are very outspoken  with their accessories, for Fall they were slightly more  understated but still very stylish with this resin bib encrusted with emerald crystals.

Krizia's leather cut-out choker stood out  in this very demure line. The colors were  subtle but the silhouettes were  modern and apocalyptic.

Krizia - cutout leather cuffs.

Krizia AW2013 - Statement ring
Krizia - I do love the fur hoodie capelet with the structurally  tiered dress and the metallic boots - so well styled!

Aigner -  Check out the nail rings - I want one!!! It's cool to see designers stepping outside of the box . The rabbit's foot charm brought me back to the 80s but Etienne Aigner showcased it in a more classy way. LOVE!!

Aigner AW2013 - gunmetal necklace with chain fringes adds elegance to  this  feminine top.

Aigner -  These Gunmetal Nail Rings will complete our ring fest - Oh! I can't wait to get my hands on one  (or many) of these. The black resin cuff with chains is glam rock! It's obvious that the clutch will be strong next season.

Blugirl - In honor of the year of the Snake, this gunmetal necklace is edgy and  rock 'n roll. I love the way it was paired with a peter pan collared blouse and suit.

Blugirl - Here the shiny gold snake is worn with a flirty, romantic blouse and fur collar. The cool factor hasn't been lost here - great mix!

DSquared AW2013 - A mix of the 40s with a bit of 80s opulence, this season the duo sent  models down the runway with lots and lots of accessories. Here the golden crystal chandeliers paired with the sequin/feather dress and metallic gold cuffs makes anyone obsessed with jewelry (like moi) smile!!!

DSquared - 40s influence with over the top, opulent jewelry. Love!
Oooh! How nice is this! This jacket clip is magnificent set with  jewels and chains.

DSquared - Do we detect an androgynous influence here???

The extravagant earrings are stupendous with this 40s number all clad in fur, nylon  socks and gloves.

J'Adore this tuxedo look - it's sexy and powerful. I wish that more people would dare to wear this amount of jewelry out there on the streets. I know I would and do!!! Love, love, love, love!!!

DSquared - kick ass glam!

Rocco Barocco - The crystal encrusted mesh gloves are superb and a must have this season. So Madonna circa 1984.

Rocco Barocco - I must say this printed ensemble is so on point. The metallic finish and understated  elegance makes me not so afraid of PRINTS! Adding baroque style earrings completes the look, n'est ce pas?

Rocco Barocco - the crystal tie, wow!!! Awesome accessory to have all year round - wear with jeans or gala-worthy!

Roberto Cavalli - Always known for his over opulence, this season is no different with his metal flower choker, chained cuffs, crystal earrings and studded clutch. More is more!!

Cavalli = Purple brocade suit, floral printed top, butterfly choker, crystal earrings and the model looks divine. Leave it to the Italians to style our wardrobes and we'll be just fine.
