Looking forward to Fall 2015 for MEN - Fall Jewelry & Accessories Trends

Posted: Mar 17 2015

Fashion week reigns in on us in February and is gone by March. For roughly a month, we are inundated with all the latest creations from our favourite and not-so favourite designers out of New York, Milan, London and Paris. Every day innovative styles and recycled trends parade down the catwalks overloading the news feeds on Instagram and Facebook with pics of the latest and greatest "trends". Let's face it, the majority of photos are dedicated to women's fashion and not men's. It took me quite some time to find content and images for this blog post. Why the lack of content - when men's fashion is so strong right now? It's disappointing but hey, that's why I'm here to lay it all out for you. Here are some cool trends to look out for this Fall.

1. The biggest TREND to come out of the Fall 2015/16 season was Brooches & Pins for   both men's and women's.

I am an 80s girl so this pin fever just brings out my inner "Robert Smith" - for those who have no idea what I'm talking about; he's the lead singer of "The Cure" and if you still don't know who I am talking about well, it's your duty to google him and download their music - lol!!! Seriously, I do love a confident man and let's be real, only one who is secure with his style can pull this one off!! Look forward to seeing this on the streets again!

2. The simple Chain with Pendant. I guess it's not really a trend but it was allover the runways so I am declaring it as that!

Versace's all leather look tops my list as one of my favourite men's looks for Fall. The simple gold chain with pendant is a sexy touch. Paul Smith went more contemporary with triangle shaped pendants - perhaps it's a nod to "illuminati" or not. Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli followed the Italian trend with their long chain with tiny pendant.

3. Pushing aside the bracelet trend, it seems designers are highlighting the Necklace.

Long chains from Chanel, knotted leather from DSquared, hard chokers from Dries Van Noten, gold chains from Versace and naked torsos from Moschino - that's all we pretty much need! Every style is quite different pleasing every type of man out there. Okay, I will talk about Moschino's jewelry and not just the buffness - ;). Jeremy Scott is sticking to the street style looks with his mens collection as well. The leather necklaces boasting stones and glass are easy enough to pull off so here's crossing my fingers that some men will!

4. Some designers still believe in the Bracelet. Thank god! Cz I do love a man and his cuff.

Issey Miyake sent men down with black leather cuffs and scarfs loosely wrapped around the neck. Never shying away from graphics, he stays true to his edgy style.

Dsquared's looks are somewhat predictable but in a good way. I guess they design for their target market and I have to appreciate the fact that they are heavy on accessories!! I'm into the wrapped leather bracelets, fabric on wrist, the fur tails and leather necklaces.

5. Modern jewelry with clean lines is a trend that we've seen for women over the past few season's. Thank you Lanvin for bringing it over to men's as well!

All it takes is a single narrow cuff, a double ring and thin open ended chain to create a very cool look. It's almost rebellious - in it's own simplistic way. The gold bar detailing on the leather bag is a bonus.
